Β«Since we worked with CSRN, there's been a multitude of benefits.Β»

Project Summary

I’m Samuel Jones, President of the Universal Consulting Club. I'm currently based in London, Hammersmith specifically, but I tend to move around the UK, just depending on the current lockdown situation. We provide a pro bono consulting to different clients, ideally around the globe. Right now we have some projects in Lebanon and then we're also going to start some projects within the UK.

What was the main business challenge you tried to resolve?

Before partnering with CSRN we didn’t really have a client outreach system. It was a really great way for us to acquire clients through a well-respected source. CSRN condense clients, bring them together, and then they offer clients to different student consultancies. So that was where the added value was. They essentially get all of the outreach and then we just brought together a lot of Like-minded students, consultants to work on the case. It really just provide us with a solid framework to get into the consulting game and especially involved in cases in places such as Lebanon, which we would not have had a network to achieve.

Why you couldn't solve this issue in-house?

It comes down two key points. Firstly, is capacity, we're quite a small team and we don't necessarily have a large enough team to outboard and outreach to clients. So that was one of the key reasons and two is the knowledge and expertise. Previously before this, we did never outreach to clients, so we wouldn't necessarily know how to do it or what to do or even where to start. So by working with CSRN, they were able to provide us with this framework, which we couldn't have within our organisation. They basically applied their knowledge, skills and expertise and provided us with this client outreach system, which we really needed to take our organisation to the next stage.

Project Summary

My name is Julie Viollet. I work for 180 Degree Consulting, Stockholm. I’m a Consulting Director. We're a student consultancy that provides management consultancy services to social enterprises or NGOs.

"Value for Money" should be read as "Value for Efforts" in the Score Details. ("Value for Money" is not applicable due to pro bono project)

What was the main business challenge you tried to resolve?

The idea was to broaden the types of projects that we offer to our student consultants. It requires quite a lot of time for us to research outside of Sweden and Stockholm. Also we don't really have the knowledge to do that or the network which CSRN has.

Did you manage to solve your challenge and how?

We've only been working with them for maybe two, three months, and we've faced some significant challenges with the project that we've undertaken together. But I think the fact that we started working with them also prompted us to think, do we need to be doing these kinds of projects abroad?

Why did you decide to do business with CSRN?

In both of our cases, we can have non-profit organizations. So there was no really financial compensation involved in either sides, which I guess might make it a bit easier than for some other businesses. But I think they offer the service that was kind of a no brainer to us.
